NADINE, NADINE, NADINE

Three women gather weekly at Group Therapy for People Who Think They Do Things in Excess. They struggle with emptiness and too-muchness, with how to stave off those nagging feelings of awfulness when they go about their daily lives. Their charismatic yet incompetent group leader <<<NADINE!>>> has an incredible talent for getting them to be vulnerable and connect with each other. She also has an annoying habit of being unapologetically late, taking long phone calls from her scheming boyfriend Ricky, and being pretty outrageously inappropriate in public bathrooms. Is Nadine hiding something? Is true personal growth actually possible? Does therapy work? Do we need someone else to tell us we're ok in order for us to finally believe it? A farce, an aspiring opera, a play about arranging chairs.

Nadine, Nadine, Nadine was produced as part of the Brooklyn College Crossing Divides Festival in May 2026. Directed by Elizabeth Bennet and performed by Darlisha Adames, Faith Garigliano, Ariel Moulder, Grace Olinski, & Aman Pohani. Set Design by Orion Forte; Costume Design by Kira Ricarte, Lighting Design by Dylan Villardez-Martinez, & Sound Design by Dafny Diaz. Stage Management by Lee Monahan. Assistant Stage Management by Liz Hayes & Shadow Santos.
